Why Law of Attraction Does Not Work?

Well….actually it may seem sometimes that the “law of attraction” just can’t deliver, right?

It is true; you can’t attract what you want. You can only manifest what you already ARE.

Whaaaat?

You see, if you do a little deeper research on how this law works you will find out that it responds to what we really feel deep down; our beliefs; perception of “our” World, rather than to the “big front” that we may put up to others.

Our life situation is the perfect manifestation of our habitual thinking and feelings.

If you want something and you come from a feeling place of “wanting” that darn thing you will be attracting more of the same feeling which is more wanting.

Dr. Joe Vitale says in one of his book that: “You can attract whatever you want as long as you don’t need it”  Which kind of means if you don’t want it you can have it. And once again it goes back to the abundant mindset or prosperous thinking  or whatever you like to call it.

It also reminds me of online marketer genius Mike Dillard’s famous line: “He who cares less, holds the power.” He meant if you’re about to sponsor a representative in your MLM (multi-level-marketing) biz. and you give out the vibe that you really don’t care whether the person joins your downline or not, you will be a very attractive leader instead of a needy, desperate e-business owner. And in the end you will probably end up sponsoring that particular opportunity seeker.

The law of attraction does not seem to work but I can assure you that it does 24/7. But it responds to how you FEEL deep down about everything in your life situation.

By giving gratitude for everything in your life, you will get in the “flow” of the Universe, you will be put in the feeling place where deliberate manifestation happens.

  1. It is indeed a tangled web this law of attraction idea. I have similar ideas to your own on it, but confusion can set in when you are no longer sure if you should be almost possessed about going for something you want or should you show/be nonchalant about it for fear of looking/feeling desperate and chasing it away.
For me, I have won many a negotiation by knowing that this win or loss would not define my life either way. I feel that is one reason why I always win them. Whatever the figure involved there is no desperation.
It sends out the right message to your ‘opponent’ and the universe.

    • It all about preferring an outcome rather than desperately clinging to a desired result.
You rarely find something good from desperation.

  3. So acting like you don’t need will attract what you’re looking for?

Hmmmm… didn’t really know that. Actually I did. I knew that act like you have already what you’re looking for and the results will just fall into place as you look.

I like Mike Dillard’s quote “He who cares less, holds the power.” And the way you explained it.

    Great article, Dude!

  4. Great post, Akos! It has me reflecting on what’s really happening inside. I imagine that we can often confuse and even believe ourselves and the facades we put up so much so that we forget who we really are and what’s really happening with our thoughts. Thanks for encouraging us to look deeper!

    • Hey, hey Sam,

Yes, paying attention to our feelings and thoughts equals with raising our awareness. Thanks for dropping by!
