Network Marketing, Internet/Online Marketing | What’s What. —– Woooot?

I quite often asked about what it is that I do and when I give the answer : “I’m a network marketer” , people look at me as if I had a horn coming out of my forehead. They have absolutely no idea about what the hell that means. I assume they suppose it has to do with selling.

Ok, so here is a simple rundown on what it is for all of you who is wondering.

First of all:

Marketing is all about “packaging” of something so people buy more of it.

Or in the case of person for instance; it’s about packaging someone so people are more keen to buy from that person. Taylor Swift is a great example. Think about it! If she was (no disrespect to anybody here I’m just saying exactly the way it is) overweight with crossed eyes sitting in a wheelchair, nobody would give a rat’s ass about her voice or music (if you can call that music).

So, she is “wrapped” nicely and people buy her music like “weed candy” or somethin’.

One more note on “marketing”. You know that most people buy out of emotional reasons, excluding all logic from behind their purchase. A marketer’s job is to find the “hot button” (the emotional reasoning behind their need to buy) and trigger that with commercials, ads and so on.

Internet/Online marketing

It’s about selling online. Whatever you sell can be yours (you sell an ebook that is yours from your own website, or your smelly ass used Nike shoes on Ebay (Ebay is like a online marketing platform; where Ebay helps you to put up pictures and description of your dirty ass shoes but Ebay will charge you for doing so, plus you have to pay the “seller’s fee” when your item is sold)

However if you sell other people’s stuff, others’ ebook or any (physical or digital item; like software or a course) item really that is not yours, you become what’s called an affiliate.

Affiliation is a HUGE business. Companies have realized that that’s the fastest way to grow and make more profit. When you sell others stuff you get a “commission”; which can be low 5% of the selling price or could be even 100% commission. Yep, you read it right; you should take a note of that or even better, click the link!

You can also become what we call a JV partner, where you’re affiliated with other online marketers to sell their stuff for commission.

Network Marketing

I already wrote a whole post about network marketing. But in not shell it’s business model where if you bring in somebody into your home based business, they partly work for you and get a small commission of their effort. You get paid a residual in this business and you decide how much you want to make.

The marketing part can happen on and offline.

Offline is oldskool but works. It’s simply means you cold call people who you think qualified to be partnered up with, people who are work for themselves; realtors would be an example. Or you talk to face to face to your warm market (your friends and family) and/or strangers.

Online marketing your network marketing business can happen through a ton of platform: social sites like Facebook, Twitter and such, web 2.0 site like Squidoo and Hubpages, ppc (pay per click advertisement).

The biggest struggle a network marketer faces is:

• Lack of money
• Lack of leads

Now, I’m the part of a lead generation system that helps me to generate about 5 leads a day. Without this system ladies and gentleman I would be nowhere with my home based business regardless of how great that MLM company is.

If you don’t have prospects to talk to on a daily basis you are dead fish in the water and your business will not survive. Period.
